Welcome to San Clemente, our beautiful little town midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. San Clemente doesn’t have the burgeoning population of those cities, but you will find plenty of fun activities to enjoy this summer.
Enjoy the coast for your first time at the San Clemente Pier, where you can see local fisherman and watch surfers before a bite at the Fisherman’s Bar and Restaurant. There are also periodic outdoor concerts at the pier, which are always a great time and will conclude with a concert & movie at Linda Lane Park on August 20th.
If you’d prefer to get in the water yourself, the San Clemente State Beach is just 3/4 mile south of the pier, and offers excellent beach camping and waves for would-be surfers. Novices can check out the San Clemente Surf School, which provides a wet suit, surfboard, and instructor to get you shredding in no time.
The pristine beaches, perfect weather, and endless bounty of outdoor activities may make it hard for you to get away, but be sure to enjoy some of the hidden cultural treasures to which San Clemente is home. The Casa Romantica Cultural Center is a stunning display of Spanish-style architecture, complete with mosaic tiles. Surf aficionados should be sure to find their way to the Surfing Heritage and Culture Center, which explores the history of the sport. You will find a large collection of boards showing their evolution through surfing history, or even come up on the third Tuesday of each month for ukulele lessons.
This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the fun happenings and locales here in San Clemente, so please take this as a starting point and begin to explore our beautiful town!
