Spring time is one of the best times of year in Southern California. The sun is out, and there should be drier, warmer weather ahead. The ocean is a clear blue for the first time in months, and you get to enjoy the rich greenery that envelopes the hills. So what local outdoor activities will you engage in this spring? Here’s a list of some of our staff’s favorites you could try out.
Activity Ideas
Snowboarding/ Skiing – The snow in the San Bernardino Mountains sticks around well into spring. You can, therefore, do some skiing or snowboarding or take lessons if you’re interested in it.
Amusement parks – If you’re a big fan of the thrills of amusement parks you can have a good time at Six Flags Magic Mountain which is cheaper than Disneyland and has a higher number of roller coasters. Knotts Berry farm is also an option to consider.
Water skiing/ water boarding – Given the weather will be a lot warmer; you could take a boat out to Big Bear Lake or Lake Elsinore. Water skiing and boarding are great for thrill seekers.
Hiking – Hiking is one of the best outdoor activities to engage in during spring. There’s many trails throughout the hillsides, and along the beaches . There’s also more challenging hikes like the Saddleback Mountains if you’re an expert!
The Beach – As the weather continues to warm, the beaches will be perfect to spend a day at, or head to after work to watch the sunset. It’s also good to get there before the extra busy summer season.
Conclusion
So whatever your taste, there’s something for you to do outside this Spring season. With the downpour of rain we endured all winter, we could all use a little extra time in the sun. So find what activity you like best, and get out there! If you want to knock out a dental checkup before heading out, our San Clemente office is close to great beaches, and other outdoor spots.
