Your Trusted General Dentist
At Shoreline Dental Studio we pride ourselves on offering a wide array of general dental services to provide our patients a comprehensive and convenient experience.
Your general dentist will do an annual three-dimensional Digital Dental Health Scan for every patient in conjunction with the X-rays that allow our team and doctors to provide a technologically-advanced examination of the patient’s mouth. In addition to being a great diagnostic tool, these scans allow us to evaluate any changes that may have taken place in the patient’s mouth since their last dental consultation, allowing us to address any potential issues at an early stage, prevent patients from spending more on costly dental services, and keep them out of dental pain when possible.
Shoreline Dental Studio offers a variety of solutions that cater to each individuals needs in helping to achieve their best and healthiest smile.

“Best dental experience ever! Everyone is so sweet, caring and incredibly knowledgeable and confident. I was super nervous about going to dentist after not having gone for awhile but as soon as stepped into the studio I felt like I was in good, loving hands and had nothing to worry about! Everyone is so great about creating a calm and friendly experience:) Dr. Livingston is the best!”

“It’s a friendly, welcoming and stress free environment. From the candle in the reception area to the windows in the treatment rooms looking out on a garden, it feels very non-dentist like, which is actually a good thing. They addressed the issue I had come in for and didn’t try to upsell me on other unnecessary treatments. I actually found a dentist’s office that I like!”

Frequently Asked Questions
What is general dentistry?
General dentistry includes all of the routine procedures you can expect to be done by your regular dentist, from your biannual checkups and cleaning to certain cosmetic or preventative treatments.
Can a general dentist do a root canal?
Yes. However, if it’s a more complicated case, you may be referred to an endodontist, a dentist who specializes in this kind of procedure.
What does a general dentist do?
A general dentist is your first port of call for all your oral health needs. They’ll help you keep your smile healthy with preventative care like cleanings, and help you tackle any problems when they arise, such as filling cavities or tooth extractions. General dentistry can also cover some cosmetic procedures and orthodontics, like Invisalign®, depending on your dentist.
Can general dentists do implants?
Yes, but some patients may require the attention of a specialist depending on your oral health, bone structure, and medical history.
What is the difference between a general dentist and a dentist?
Practically, nothing! Dentists who aren’t specialized are sometimes called general dentists, indicating that they deal with a wide range of common dental issues.
Can a general dentist remove wisdom teeth?
Yes, but as with other procedures, if there are any complication,s it’s best to consult with an oral surgeon.
